Katy Perry Lyrics Anger Church Group In Ohio

Katy Perry has furious a church based in Blacklick, Ohio, over the homosexual nature of the lyrics to her hit single I Kissed A Girl.

The church building has written the singer's lyrics on a board outside the building, with a twist - they've altered the words to "I kissed a girl and I liked it. Then I went to hell."

Havens Corners Church minister Reverend Dave Allison says the new message sends "a loving warning to teens", wHO may be convinced by the lyrics of the popular birdsong to experimentation with members of the same sex.

Katy Perry will release 'Hot N Cold' as the next single from her debut record album 'One Of The Boy', and we posted photos from the video shoot last week.

Vocalist Michael Crafter (as well of Carpathian), guitarists Jona Weinhofen and Kevon Cameron, bassist Sean Kennedy, and drummer JJ formed the ingeniously named I Killed the Prom Queen in Adelaide, Australia, in 2003. Their Choose to Live or Die EP followed shortly after, and 2004 saw the release of their debut long-player, When Goodbye Means Forever, which featured an emotive and melodic amalgam of hard-core and weighed down metal made popular by American bands such as Killswitch Engage and Shadows Fall. Their followup, Music for the Recently Deceased, hit stores at nursing home in July 2006, and after the guys inked a deal with Metal Blade Records, the label issued the track record in North America that November. Early the following year, Crafter jumped ship to go the new vocalizer for Boston-based Bury Your Dead, as the banding too lost Weinhofen to California's Bleeding Through. Unable to find desirable replacements, I Killed the Prom Queen called it quits in 2007 next a terminal tour of Australia.

Grey's stars say Chambers is now "fine"

William Joseph

When you mix 14 years of classical piano training with practical experience -- playing piano in malls at Christmas, playing the organ at Phoenix Coyotes hockey games -- you get to be William Joseph, instrumental composer/performer and Billboard chart debutante.

Piano lessons commenced for Joseph after he banged out the theme from "Fraggle Rock" on a toy piano after watching the show as a child. He studied Chopin and Rachmaninoff with a Russian piano master until his late teens, when he got a job playing organ for his local National Hockey League team. He wrote their theme song, took a break from playing to do a church mission in Australia for a couple of years, and when he returned, he took up mall duty.

"I immediately had to learn how to sell myself," recalls Joseph. He'd set up two chairs by his piano and tell passing shoppers, "'I'm having a one-song concert and I'd love to give you front-row seats.' They would sit down in the middle of the mall and I'd play them a song -- by the time I was finished I'd have a whole mob of people around."

The experience gave him confidence, not to mention sales of CDs of his original compositions. He got a manager, who in 2004 got word that producer David Foster (Celine Dion, Barbra Streisand, Michael Buble) was coming to Phoenix for a charity event.

"He told me to show up at this hotel and he would try to arrange an intro for us. I went into a big ballroom where David was rehearsing with a band. David sat me down at the piano and looked at me and said, 'Play something.' My heart skipped a few beats."

But the impromptu audition went so well -- Joseph played "Within," a song he wrote that later became the title track to his first album with Foster -- that the young pianist was invited back to open that night's show.

A year later, Joseph was signed to Foster's l43 label on Reprise/Warner, joining a roster that includes Buble and Josh Groban.
His sophomore album, "Beyond," which has peaked at No. 17 thus far on Billboard's Heatseekers chart. Backed by a 72-piece orchestra on his own songs, as well as a cover of Led Zeppelin's "Kashmir," Joseph's work is infused with stirring, dramatic arrangements that have a visual quality reminiscent of film scores.

"I would love to get into writing for film," says Joseph, who has nonetheless kept busy opening tours for Groban, Il Divo and Clay Aiken. He began headlining solo shows this year, and will be touring Canada as well as playing in China. A PBS special, "David Foster & Friends," will air in December and features Joseph, Buble, Andrea Bocelli and others.

As for whether instrumental orchestral pop can find a mass audience without vocals, Joseph is confident that it can. Pointing to the success of Kenny G and Yanni, Joseph notes, "There is a niche out there that isn't being filled right now. There are not a lot of instrumentalists out there that are really well known. From a live standpoint, it's gone really well."

Timbaland ascended to the top of the knock industry in the belated '90s, imposingly reconciliation his coveted hitmaking abilities with his bizarre production style. Few tap producers were capable of such a balance 'tween commerce and craft. Timbaland produced an endless list of hits, mainly for a blue-ribbon mathematical group of affiliates (Young woman Elliott, Aaliyah, Jay-Z, Ginuwine) though besides for a phone number of other A-list artists (Ludacris, Snoop Dogg, Nas, Justin Timberlake). Even so, he always infused a remarkable sense of identity and creativeness into his productions. When you take heed a Timbaland production generally there is no misinterpretation it for anyone else's work: stuttering bass-heavy bounce beat generation offset resonating high-end synth stabs, all of this often complemented by his own signature-like quiet mutter beneath the cartroad; and no sampling. However, all over time Timbaland began pickings an more and more production line approach to production, working with a team of co-producers and songwriters including Nathaniel "Danjahandz" Hills, the Clutch, and Justin Timberlake. Plus, he began producing an more and more wide array of acts of the Apostles, ranging from alternative icons Björk and M.I.A. to MOR pop/rockers the Fray and Ashlee Simpson.

In the late '90s, when Timbaland was tranquil relatively new on the view, the Virginia native worked extensively with Missy ("The Rain"), Aaliyah ("If Your Girl Only Knew"), and Ginuwine ("Pony"). Later, erst he'd established himself with these three, he began working with the top rappers in the industry, viz. Jay-Z ("Big Pimpin'"), Nas ("You Won't See Me Tonight"), Snoop Dogg ("Snooper Dogg [What's My Name, Pt. 2]"), and Ludacris ("Rollout [My Business]"). He as well worked once in a while with lesser-known regional artists such as Petey Pablo ("Raise Up"), Pastor Troy ("Ar We Cuttin'"), and Tweet ("Oops (Oh My)"). As a upshot of his exceptional success as a producer, Timbaland eventually established his possess record label, Beat Club, and began unveiling his own stable of artists (Bubba Sparxxx, Ms. Jade). His records, well-nigh co-billed with rapping friend Magoo, spotlighted his approach to the top rappers in the business sector: Missy Elliott, Jay-Z, Ludacris, Wyclef Jean. From 1997 through 2003, he released trey Timbaland & Magoo albums, patch 1998's Tim's Bio and 2007's Timbaland Presents Shock Value -- the latter featuring a restless mixture of vocalists, rappers, and rock bands -- were solo albums in make.

Active during a period of jazz chronicle when it seemed radical instauration was a thing of the yesteryear, Joe Lovano still amalgamated several stylistic elements from disparate eras into a personal and forward-seeking style. While not an pioneer in a macro sense, Lovano has unquestionably charted his own path. His playing contains not an ounce of glibness, simply possesses in abundance the sensory faculty of spontaneousness that has invariably characterized the music's finest improvisers. Lovano doesn't acquire influences -- he absorbs them -- so that when acting a standard, he exudes the like sense of desert as when playing wholly disengage (which, it should be pointed out, he does well, if infrequently). Lovano's most significant accomplishment is his incorporation of free and average expressive devices into traditional chord-change improvisation.

Lovano is the logos of the respected Cleveland saxophonist Tony "Adult T" Lovano. Joe started playing alto sax as a child, taught by his fatherhood, wHO as well introduced him to jazz. In his young person, Joe would listen many of the large jazz artists wHO passed through and through town, including Dizzy Gillespie, James Moody, Sonny Stitt, and Rahsaan Roland Kirk. Lovano began playing in jam roger Sessions around Cleveland while still in his teens. Although thoroughly steeped in bop, he besides developed an interest in the idle words experimentalism of the 1960s, hearing to such musicians as John Coltrane, Jimmy Giuffre, and Ornette Coleman. Following high school, Lovano affected to Boston and tended to the Berklee School of Music. Fellow students included such future collaborators as John Scofield, Bill Frisell, and Kenny Werner. While at Berklee, Lovano discovered average musical harmony and opened up to the all-inclusive areas of tonal freedom that he plant so attractive in the music of John Coltrane, among others.

After leaving Berklee, Lovano worked with organists Lonnie Smith (with whom he made his recording debut) and Jack McDuff. He toured with Woody Herman from 1976-1979. After going Herman, Lovano settled in New York City, where he quickly constituted himself. He joined drummer Mel Lewis' orchestra in 1980; he played the band's regular Monday night gigs at the Village Vanguard until 1992. He besides recorded several times with the band. Lovano would besides work with Elvin Jones, Carla Bley, Lee Konitz, Charlie Haden, and Bob Brookmeyer, among others. He joined drummer Paul Motian's band in 1981 (which also included his Berklee classmate Frisell), and played with guitar player John Scofield's quartette. Lovano began in the lead dates for Blue Note in the '90s, and continued doing so throughout that ten and into the next, recording in a change of contexts ranging from trios to bigger wood and brass ensembles. Lovano received a number of Grammy nominations for his form on Blue Note. His 1996 album Quartets: Live at the Village Vanguard (Dreary Note) was named Jazz Album of the Year by readers of Downbeat Magazine. Lovano's married woman is vocaliser Judi Silvano.

Since then, Lovano has split his time in the studio betwixt releasing telling original recordings and albums reinterpreting the work of artists world Health Organization have influenced him, including vocaliser Frank Sinatra on 1996's Celebrating Sinatra, various bop-era stalwarts including piano player Tadd Dameron on 2000's 52nd Street Themes, and opera tenor voice Enrico Caruso on 2001's Oral Caruso. In 2004, the invariably unpredictable reedman released the ballads album I'm All for You, featuring artisan piano player Hank Jones. Joyous Encounter followed in spring 2005 with Streams of Expression appearing on Blue Note a year later. Lovano once agian paired up with Jones for the live duets album Kids: Duets Live at Dizzy's Club Coca-Cola in 2007.
